CONFERENCE PRODUCER
This is John Horrigan’s twentieth year of paranormal investigation. His specialties include UFO research and cryptozoology.
John has produced and hosted countless cable television and radio programs dedicated to unexplained mysteries over the years including:
He has lectured about paranormal phenomena at various Boston Public Library branches for the last 15 years and has even taught a course on the subject matter at the Boston Center for Adult Education.
John has traveled to British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and Ohio pursuing the illusive sasquatch and has met legendary bigfoot personalities like Grover Krantz, John Green, Don Keating, Rene Dahinden and Peter Byrne.
Horrigan has also traveled to Loch Ness, Scotland and to Lake Champlain where he pursued lake monsters.
In 2006, John began producing the annual “Mass Monster Mash” conference. The conference is now in its fourth year and will take place on Saturday, October 17th at 6:00 PM in Watertown, Massachusetts. The program will feature Loren Coleman (“Abominable Snowman”), Jeff Belanger (“Haunted White House”), Nick Redfern (“Chupacabra”) and Christopher Balzano (“Outside the Lines of the Bridgewater Triangle”). John also chairs the Monster Mash Meetup group.
Horrigan is the producer of the CD “Mysterious Bridgewater Triangle” CD with Christopher Balzano and Chris Pittman. He has recently appeared on the cable television program Paranormal TV (along with Pittman) discussing the Bridgewater Triangle. He will lead a tour into the Hockomock Swamp (along with Chris Pittman) in August of 2009.
John is the producer of the Mass UFO Show and chairperson of the New England UFO Group. The Fourth Annual Mass UFO Show will take place on Friday, October 16th, 2009 in Watertown, Massachusetts and will feature Nick Redfern (“Cosmic Crashes”), Peter Robbins (“The Bentwaters Incident”), Nancy Talbot (“Crop Circles”), Binnall of America and “The Air Raid of Los Angeles”, Horrigan’s new breakthrough research about a massive UFO air raid over America in late 1941 and early 1942.
Horrigan has investigated classical UFO cases by travelling to UFO “hot spots” like Area 51 in Nellis, Nevada; Gulf Breeze, Florida; Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia; Kecksburg, Pennsylvania; The San Luis Valley in Colorado; The Plains of San Agustin and to Roswell, New Mexico on three separate occasions.
He is a leading authority on black helicopters and has an audio/video website devoted to these anomalous aircraft.
Being the son of a retired Air Force Intelligence agent, John Horrigan’s interest in aviation and the military has always been at a very high level. He’s had the honor to visit several military bases such as Edwards Air Force Base, Dryden Space Center, White Sands Missile Range, Stallion Gate, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Lockheed Skunk Works, Sikorsky, Boeing, McDonnell-Douglas, Cheyenne Mountain, Holloman Air Force Base, Kirtland Air Force Base, Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base, Eglin Air Force Base, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Sandia Labs and Los Alamos.
His knowledge of astronomy is extensive. A 30-year subscriber to magazines like Sky & Telescope and Astronomy, John has attended public lectures at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics since the age of 16. He’s seen 12 comets in his life, every planet (except for Pluto), Asteroid Vesta, many nebulae, planetary conjunctions, star occultations, the Transit of Venus, the Transit of Mercury, solar and lunar eclipses, the Comet Shoemaker-Levy impact of Jupiter, double stars and he has glimpsed satellites like Skylab, Mir, ISS, Envisat, Genesis 1 and 2, HST and several STS missions soar overhead. He knows the night sky.
Horrigan has studied Radio Astronomy and has visited the Very Large Array twice (1996, 1998) outside of Socorro, New Mexico and the Greenbank Radio Telescope in 1997. He has catalogued a chronology of gamma ray bursts, studied sunspot cycles and compiled a study of unexplained radio signals. He has attended a SETI conference at Harvard University in 2003 where he got to meet Doctors Frank Drake, Geoff Marcy, Jill Tartar and Paul Horowitz personally.
John is also considered to be a leading authority on the "Night the Stars Fell" which, in November of 1833 was the greatest astronomical spectacle in recorded history. He hosts the New England History Festival and is chairperson for the New England History Group.
He has photographed the Great Leonid Shower of 2001 extensively, compiled a brief history of spectacular meteor showers and continues to research stories about space junk. One of his favorite books is Antony Milne's "Sky Static".
Horrigan can identify dozens of constellations, stars and Messier Objects. He has studied the history of lunar landings and space exploration and can identify several seas and craters on the surface of the moon. He also has a strong knowledge base of Transient Lunar Phenomena.
Horrigan is also a historian of great meteorological events and anomalies like New England's Dark Day".
Currently he is researching solar magnetic activity (suspots) and the chronicled "Year With A Summer". In 1816, after a volcanic eruption in Tambora, Indonesia and after a brilliant display of sunspots in the late Spring, temperatures fluctuated wildly in the Northern hemisphere. It snowed in Boston on June 7th!
You can listen to some of these lectures in his historical audio archive.

John is also a seasoned professional sports announcer, having announced Boston Bruins Alumni Charity Hockey games for 17 years and New England Patriots Charity Basketball and Softball Games for the last 16 years.
